These following terms and conditions will NOT affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

By purchasing from Jeweloptics.com you are agreeing to provide us with details of the relevant prescription that is to be applied to the spectacles or contact lenses. All prescriptions provided to Jeweloptics.com need to be signed and dated by a registered medical practitioner or registered ophthalmic optician also know as an optometrist within the last 2 years for glasses and last year for contact lenses.

The prescription needs to be easily legible with all relevant details filled in we also require a PD measurement. If one is not provided then we will use a default measurement of 64.

We may contact you to discuss the prescription if our optician feels the frames you have chosen are not suitable for your prescription.

By purchasing glasses or contact lenses from Jeweloptics.com you consent to our opticians getting in contact with your ophthalmic medical practitioner or opticians to verify the prescription given.

The Buyer shall have the right to return the goods to Jeweloptics.com within a period of fourteen days after receipt of the same goods, which is beyond our legal requirement in terms of the Distance Selling regulations. The goods must be totally undamaged and totally unmarked condition. Refunds will only be made for the frame that we have supplied inclusive of any item supplied free of charge as per original order. Refunds will not be made for any item or service supplied at extra cost. Returned prescription glasses must have the optician's prescription attached. This return policy will not apply to those goods that have been personalised for the Buyer, or to items that have been individually made or ordered for the Buyer, or if the Buyer has been specifically informed that a return is not permitted. This return policy will only apply once - repeat returns are not permitted. Costs and risks in relation to the returned goods are the responsibility of the Buyer. When returning goods the Buyer will be liable for all the shipping costs incurred, both incoming and outgoing.

Jeweloptics.com is not responsible for the safe return of the Buyer's own glasses after checking or after reglazing/lens replacement unless specifically agreed in writing. No refunds are permitted after reglazing/lens replacement. We will remedy any error made by us should we supply an incorrect prescription.

Should any order go missing during shipping, outside of Buyer's own glasses, it will be replaced free of charge. These items will be replaced only - refunds will not be made for any missing item. We require a non-delivery form to be completed and we will have to establish with the carrier that the item has not been delivered before we can replace any missing item. Please allow up to 28 days for this investigation.

The lenses supplied by Jeweloptics.com will be made according to the prescription that the Buyer has submitted and we cannot accept returns for any prescriptions that have been entered incorrectly. We will remedy any error made by us should we supply an incorrect prescription.

If the Buyer is unsure of the relevant prescription to be applied to the spectacles, the Buyer must get in contact with us to discuss the uncertainty. We will then advice the best course of action it may be to send us a copy of the prescription so we can update the prescription or that you go to a registered medical practitioner or registered ophthalmic optician before placing an order.

If the order is cancelled or altered after production or the order process has started a proportionate fee for costs incurred will be charged.

Any change of address or any alteration to the order should be advised by email only. And marked change of address details on subject heading.

We advise you to obtain your pupillary distance/PD distance from your registered medical practitioner or registered ophthalmic optician.

If you are using your old glasses then the PD may be taken off them. You are advised that this is not very accurate and are still advised to get a PD done professionally. Any old glasses sent for PD check must be received with 7 days after which the order will be processed using the PD given at time of order.

Due to the General Optical Council regulations the buyer must be over the age of 18 to order from Jeweloptics.com, and the Buyer must not be registered blind or partially sighted, you are not permitted to order on behalf of any person under 18 years of age.

Please note that all tailor-made products are exempt from the (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.

Unless specific insurance cover is offered risk in the Goods shall pass to the Buyer when the Buyer or its agent or the courier takes delivery of the goods or collects them.

Even though risk in the goods has passed in accordance with Clause 17. the Buyer will not own the goods until one of the following events occurs:
Jeweloptics.com has been paid for the goods and no other amounts are outstanding from the Buyer to Jeweloptics.com
Jeweloptics.com waives its right under Clause 17 in respect of specified goods whereupon ownership of those goods will immediately vest in the Buyer.

All specifications and prices are subject to errors and omissions and we reserve the right to cancel or amend sales.

No contract will subsist between the Buyer and Jeweloptics.com for the sale by it to the Buyer of any product unless and until Jeweloptics.com accepts your order by e-mail confirming that it has dispatched your product. That acceptance will be deemed complete and will be deemed for all purposes to have been effectively communicated to the Buyer at the time Jeweloptics.com sends the e-mail to the Buyer (whether or not the Buyer receives that e-mail).
